  1. The personal data we collect

    We collect the following Business Information, if available:

    Identity Data which includes information such as: first and last name, job title and department, company name, corporate website URLs, social networking URLs.

    Contact Data which includes information such as: email address, business phone numbers (general, direct and fax), postal address of company and business-related postal address of the person.

    Technical Data, which includes: metadata such as Internet Protocol addresses and the dates email messages are sent or received and email addresses, names, and job titles of recipients and senders.

    We carry out the following steps to ensure the Directory's integrity:

    • We only collect business related data. Thus, any contacts that have an address from a consumer-oriented service such as Gmail or Yahoo are disregarded.

After gathering Business Information about a person or company, we put together all the mentions of that person or business to create a Business Profile. The users of the Site, as well as our clients and business partners, have access to the directory of business profiles (the "Directory"). Name, email address, job title, department, phone number, company name, postal address of the company, the person's business-related postal address, employment history, and educational background are all examples of business information that can be included in a business profile. Links to an individual's social media profiles and articles written by, about, or quoting that person are also permitted in business profiles.

    We obtain the data for the Business Profiles in the following ways:

    • Our software scans for attendees of competitions and hackathons, as well as winners of programming awards.

    • Our search technology scans the web and gathers publicly-available information.

    • We license information from other companies.

    • Through market research surveys and phone interviews conducted by our in-house research team.

  4. How else does CEOcouch collects Information?

    When you submit information through our website.

    • Update your company profile - you can easily edit your firm's description, industry, location, and other information by simply verifying your CEOcouch company profile. Additionally, you may combine various profiles to produce a thorough overview of your business.

    • Delete your CEOcouch company profile completely - The company summaries are automatically generated by CEOcouch software based on the information we find on corporate websites, news releases and/or SEC documents filed with the US government

    • We have a policy of not deleting business data from our search engine. Please update your company profile if any of the information is inaccurate.

    How can you opt-out of certain uses of your information?

    You have the option to "opt out" of having your information used for specific purposes when using CEOcouch.

    You can choose not to receive our newsletter or promotional messages by following the instructions provided in each newsletter or email. We will send you an email to confirm that you have been unsubscribed as soon as we receive your request.

    We will not share with third parties' information about you that you submit when your register for our services unless you expressly consent to such sharing. If personal information is obtained from other sources, we will give you the opportunity to stop sharing it with other parties by opting out via email.

    When CEOcouch is a controller

    CEOcouch acts as a data controller when collecting information about data in relation to the visitors of the site, as well as when we collect and use information for the purposes of creating and maintaining our business profiles and providing the services.

    When CEOcouch is a processor

    When our clients use our services, they are operating in the capacity of data controllers and are in charge of ensuring that the personal data they have gathered about data subjects is being used in compliance with the law.     If CEOcouch discover business information regarding an individual that CEOcouch has reasons to believe they are based in the European Union, CEOcouch.

    In the course of obtaining data to be included on the Site, if we obtain Business Information regarding an individual that we have reasons to believe is based in the European Union, we will provide such individual with a notice detailing the information we have on such person, the purpose for which it will be used, and informing such person of their rights with respect to such information.
